Designed and constructed to fight in World War II, battleship Wisconsin (BB-64) remains a formidable warship.  Wisconsin sailed in war torn waters in World War II, Korea, and the Persian Gulf War.  In peacetime, Wisconsin sailed the seven seas "showing the flag" and symbolically representing United States policy.  Battleship Wisconsin remains a symbolic reminder of the highest ideals of American naval service berthed at historic downtown Norfolk, Virginia.
