Canada: Ontario : Toronto

A pictorial tourism and travel guide to Toronto
Photo Gallery

Toronto means 'Meeting Place' in the Huron language and is an even more appropriate name today than ever before. Toronto is Canada's largest city with a population of 2.5 million people and is the most ethnically diverse city in the world. Home to many different communities, Toronto's 5,000 restaurants are a virtual United Nations of fine dining.

As the cultural, financial and entertainment centre of English Canada, Toronto has something for everyone. The bustling metropolis is the home to four professional sports teams and the third largest English-speaking theatre district in the world, behind New York and London.  Toronto hosts such unique attractions as the worlds tallest free standing structure, a European castle and leisure parkland minutes from the city by island ferry.  It's a great place to visit, but watch out, you might just end up wanting to live here.
