Every year Cornelia, known as "Home of the Big Red Apple" gears up to host the Big Red Apple Festival.  The Festival features a variety of arts and crafts booths, a fine arts exhibition in the newly-remodeled Cornelia Community House, entertainment, food vendors, children's events, a horseshoe tournament, 5k run, a fun walk,  hayrides, an antique car cruise-in and a bluegrass music jam.
