Every summer, Aspen's neighbor, Snowmass, sponsors a hot air balloon festival where many dozens of private balloon pilots compete for prizes.  Most of resorts in Colorado have commercial companies that provide spectacular early morning champagne rides high over the valleys and streams of the Rocky Mountains.
