Mount Assiniboine (11,870 feet / 3,618 meters), sometimes called the Matterhorn of the Canadian Rockies, is a spectacular isolated limestone pyramid, towering nearly 5,000 feet above beautiful Lake Magog.  The entire area is enclosed within the Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park, which is inaccessible by road.  Entry other than by helicopter requires six hours by foot, or three hours by bike.
