Architect Harold C. Beckett was fascinated by geological events
and he envisioned The Cascades of Time garden as a representation of the geological history of the area. He had rocks from different geological periods quarried to construct large pools, waterfalls, streams and structures in the garden.
When it was discovered that Beckett's geological story was not
entirely accurate, the name of the garden was changed from The Cascades of Time to Cascade
Gardens. Today, the garden thrills visitors with its meandering paths, rustic bridges, quaint gazebos, sparkling cascades, numerous pools, colourful floral
displays, and beautiful mountain vistas.
